It occurred to me that I’ve been rather rude.
This is my third blog, but I haven’t yet introduced myself properly. If we’re going to get to know each other better (and I do hope we will), I should tell you a bit about myself.
As you may have guessed from the name Laurence, I am French, though England has been my home for almost two decades.
I’ve always had a passion for design, but I like to think I’ve also got a good business head on my shoulders, having spent my early career in marketing, within the automotive industry.
However, 10 years ago, I decided to follow my heart into interior design. When you’ve been brought up in France, changing careers isn’t really the done thing. But I signed up for a course at the KLC school of design, qualifying in 2.5 years. I launched elemental studio in 2015 – and all whilst juggling a toddler and newborn. What was I thinking?!
It’s been daunting, exciting and everything in between, but I haven’t regretted my leap into the unknown. Based in North London, I’ve worked on dozens of residential and commercial projects, large and tiny alike. I’ve loved every minute!
